
Helena City in Montana
Helena City is the capital of Montana in the United States. The city is located approximately one hour and 30 minutes of driving from Great Falls and approximately two hours of driving from Missoula. It was established in 1864 as a gold camp during the Montana gold rush and was one of the richest cities in the United States by the late 1800’s due to the extraction of more than $3 billion of gold. Victorian architectures can be seen within the city because of its wealth from the gold rush.
