Island Park Dam holds the water of the Island Park Reservoir. It is located in Fremont County near Island Park in Idaho. The dam is situated within the Targhee National Forest and is about one hour and 18 minutes drive from Idaho Falls. The earthfill dam was built in the late 1930’s to provide irrigation water for farmlands in Idaho’s Snake River Plain. Below are images taken from the vicinity of the Island Park Dam.
